Leslie Bartlebaugh

Leslie Bartlebaugh is an academic professional affiliated with NC State University's Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. She serves as an Extension Specialist in the Coastal Dynamics Design Lab (CDDL) and teaches courses focused on landscape ecology, plant identification, and ecological planting design.

Her expertise spans horticulture, construction, natural resource management, and design industries, with a focus on urban/community design projects such as streetscape design, green stormwater infrastructure, public park planning, and civic spaces. She holds professional credentials including Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA), ASLA membership, and ISA Certified Arborist certification.

Leslie's current research in the CDDL emphasizes flood recovery strategies, community resilience initiatives, and ecological planting design. She earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from NC State University and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Environmental Biology from Appalachian State University, with minors in Spanish.
