Lesley Punton is a visual artist and researcher at The Glasgow School of Art, working across text, photography, film, painting, and drawing. Her practice-based research investigates the translation of lived experiences of landscape and place, particularly through walking in remote environments and mountain climbing.
- Active contributor to the Reading Landscape research group
- Exhibitions across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia
- Represented by 511 Gallery (New York) and ROOM Artspace (London)
Her work interrogates temporal contrasts between human-scale time and geological time, with a focus on liminal spaces, embodiment, and environmental phenomena. She is currently involved in postgraduate research supervision at GSA.
