Lesley Gamble is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Art History at the University of Florida's School of Art and Art History. Her interdisciplinary career spans show horse training, antique textile research, feminist activism, and free diving, culminating in a Ph.D. in Art History. She specializes in 1960s–70s feminist performance art, poststructuralist theory, and eco-art practices. Courses include Gender and Visual Representation: 1500–1900, Art, Water, Ecology, and 20th Century Feminism and Art.
Her research explores the intersections of gender, ecology, and art, notably through The Springs Eternal Project (with photographer John Moran), addressing Florida's ecological crises via eco-art. Contact: FAC 392-8453 or lgamble@ufl.edu.
