Dr. Leonie van 't Hag is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at Monash University, Australia. She leads the Hybrid Assembly Group, focusing on soft material structure-property relationships for pharmaceutical and food applications.
- Education: MSc in Molecular Life Sciences (Physical Chemistry) from Wageningen University & Research (2012); PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Melbourne (2016).
Research Interests: Combines physical chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, and cell biology to study:
- Self-assembly of organic/inorganic colloidal hybrids
- Nanostructured materials for pharmaceutical delivery
- Food material structure-property relationships
- Membrane protein crystallization techniques
- Advanced scattering and microscopy methods
- CO2 bioconversion and circular economy applications
