Dr. Leonie Kaczmarek is a Researcher at the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT) in Jena, Germany, where she works in the Research Department Quantum Systems within the Quantum Circuits work group. Dr. Kaczmarek's research focuses on the development and fabrication of superconducting quantum circuits and related technologies. Her expertise spans quantum computing hardware development and geophysical applications of superconducting devices. She specializes in wafer-scale fabrication processes, Josephson junction technology, and magnetic field sensor systems.
Her publication record shows a clear progression from geophysical applications of superconducting devices (2018) to advanced quantum computing hardware fabrication (2025). Both papers appeared in IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, demonstrating her technical expertise in superconducting electronics. Her recent work addresses critical challenges in quantum computing scalability including crosstalk mitigation and interconnection technologies.
