Leonie Gaiser is a Lecturer in Intercultural Communication at the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, University of Manchester. Her research focuses on urban multilingualism, heritage language maintenance, and micro-level language policy, employing ethnographic methodologies. Before her current role, she held a Postdoctoral Research Associate position (2014–2021) on the Multilingual Manchester Project, studying linguistic landscapes, supplementary schools, and healthcare language provisions. She earned a PhD (2021), MA (2016), and BA (2014) from The University of Manchester and Universität Augsburg, Germany.
