Leonid B. Glebov is a Florida Photonics Center of Excellence Research Professor at CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida (UCF). He holds a Ph.D. in Physics (Optics) from the State Optical Institute (SOI), Leningrad, Russia (1976), and has extensive experience in scientific research and management at SOI until 1995. At UCF, his research focuses on optical properties of glasses, photosensitive materials for holography, nonlinear optics, and laser-induced phenomena. He has authored 190+ papers, 16 patents, and is a Fellow of SPIE, OSA, and the American Ceramic Society.

Research Group: His team develops holographic optical elements, subwavelength gratings, volume holography, and diffractive optics. Current students include Daniel Lumpkin (Ph.D.) and Diana Kashurnikova (undergraduate). Alumni include 12 Ph.D. and MS graduates.
Labs & Collaborations: Active in creating advanced optical components for applications in lasers, displays, and photonics systems.
