Leonardo Lozano

Leonardo Lozano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems at the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University (2017), an M.Sc. from the University of Florida (2014), and both an M.Sc. and B.Sc. from Universidad de los Andes (2011, 2009). His research integrates theoretical and applied optimization, focusing on discrete optimization, multilevel programming, and network flows to address challenges in vehicle routing, scheduling, and security.

Dr. Lozano's work emphasizes algorithmic innovation for complex decision-making under uncertainty. His recent publications explore neural network optimization, robust logistics, and stochastic modeling, reflecting a consistent focus on scalable computational methods. Key methodologies include decision diagrams, bilevel programming, and exact algorithms for large-scale networks.
