Leonard B. Kolodny, M.D. serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He practices as a Neuroradiologist and General Radiologist at Highland Hospital and the University of Rochester Medical Center through the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group (URMFG) and Accountable Health Partners (AHP).
His academic journey includes:
- BA with Honors in Biopsychology from Brandeis University (1988), thesis: Effects of Classical Conditioning on Cyclic AMP Levels in Drosophila Melanogaster
- MD from University of Massachusetts Medical School (1993)
Dr. Kolodny completed specialized training including a Neuroradiology fellowship at URMC (1998-2000) and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Albany Medical Center (1995-1998), with early research in Functional MRI at Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical expertise spans advanced neuroimaging techniques and general radiology diagnostics, maintaining active practice since 2001. Board-certified by the American Board of Radiology, he focuses on translating imaging science into clinical applications for neurological conditions.
As a non-new-patient provider, he contributes to academic medicine through clinical practice and teaching within URMC's imaging sciences department.
