Leon Timmermann is a research associate at the Institute Future Energy of the OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, specializing in the design and development of mechanical components for the MONOCAB project. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics from TH OWL (2021–2025) and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechatronic Systems at the same institution.

His research interests focus on mechatronic systems, mechanical engineering, and autonomous vehicle design, particularly in advancing automotive and drive technologies. Leon previously completed an apprenticeship as a mechatronics technician at Lenze, a manufacturer of drive and automation technology, before joining the MONOCAB project.
