Leon Landwehr

Leon Landwehr (M.Sc.) is a research associate at the Department of Building Physics and Technical Interior Design under Prof. Dr.-Ing. Susanne Schwickert at OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Since April 2025, he investigates sustainable and circular construction practices through practice-oriented analysis of modular, demountable, and reusable building concepts as part of the Modular Reusable Building project.

Leon's research focuses on resource-efficient construction methods, emphasizing modularity, recyclability, and user comfort optimization. His work bridges academic research with practical implementation in architectural design.

He received the BDA OWL Award for his bachelor thesis and maintains a professional connection to the Institute Future Energy (iFE) where he conducts research while balancing practical architectural work.
