Professor Leon Bach is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at Monash University and Deputy Director of the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Alfred Hospital. His research focuses on glycated proteins' role in diabetic complications and insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) regulation in diseases like cancer and diabetes. He has led/co-investigated 19+ projects since 2004, including studies on diabetes complications, hypertension management, and surgical infection prevention. Key collaborations involve organizations like NHMRC and JDRF.
