Lenny Leibowitz serves as Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Theatre & Dance at Otterbein University, where he has directed major productions including Oklahoma!, My Fair Lady, and Into the Woods. As founding artistic director of Marvell Rep Off-Broadway, he helmed 11 productions with The Threepenny Opera receiving a Drama Desk nomination for Best Revival of a Musical.
His academic credentials include:
- M.F.A. in Directing from Boston University (Dean's Scholar)
- B.A. in English from Columbia University (cum laude)
Leibowitz's creative scholarship centers on Directing, Acting, Theatre History, and Dramatic Literature, with specialized expertise in Shakespearean performance and early twentieth century theatrical movements.
