Lena McDowell is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Harrison College of Pharmacy, Auburn University, where she serves as the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) Coordinator and Ambulatory Care Clinician at the AU Employee Pharmacy. Her roles include overseeing five IPPEs (community, health and wellness, health-system, clinical, population health), teaching in the Practice Ready Curriculum, precepting PGY-1 residents, and leading clinical pharmacy services like medication synchronization and comprehensive medication reviews.

Her research focuses on experiential education and community pharmacy practice transformation, with active involvement in organizations such as the Alabama Pharmacy Association, Southeastern Pharmacy Experiential Education Consortium, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
