Lena Dalifoski

Lena Dalifoski serves as a Doctoral Assistant at the Laboratory for fundamental BioPhotonics (LBP) under the Julia Jacobi Chair of Photomedicine within the School of Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), while concurrently pursuing her doctoral degree through the Doctoral Program in Photonics (EDPO). She further contributes to academic community building as a Committee Member of the EPFL Photonics Chapter, a student-led organization fostering photonics research and collaboration.

Her research centers on Biophotonics, applying light-based technologies to biological systems with specialized focus on Photomedicine for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. This work intersects Bioengineering principles and leverages broader Photonics methodologies including optical imaging, spectroscopy, and laser-tissue interactions to advance non-invasive medical solutions and personalized diagnostics.
