Leland Farmer is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the University of Virginia (UVA). His research focuses on macroeconomics, asset pricing, and econometrics, with an emphasis on nonlinear economic and financial models. He has developed innovative techniques for assessing nonlinearities in quantitative economic analysis and is actively investigating how learning models can resolve anomalies in professional forecasting data.
