Leif Lia is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NTNU. His research focuses on hydropower systems, spillway design, dam safety, and hydraulic engineering, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and climate adaptation. He leads projects addressing challenges in pumped storage plants, rock mechanics, and invasive species management in hydropower infrastructure.
