Legesse Tigabu Mengie

Dr Legesse Tigabu Mengie is a constitutional law and public international law researcher affiliated with the University of Adelaide's Adelaide Law School and the Institute for International Trade. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Adelaide and has taught at universities in Ethiopia and Australia. His research focuses on constitutional interpretation, federalism, international trade law, and land rights in Ethiopia. He has held prestigious scholarships including the Adelaide Scholarship International and the Open Society Foundation Civil Society Award. His work critiques Ethiopia's federal structure and explores global regulatory frameworks like Basel III and WTO compliance. He is active in academic societies such as the African Network of Constitutional Lawyers and the International Association of Constitutional Law.
