Leesa Ann Sidhu

Dr. Leesa Ann Sidhu is a Lecturer in Statistics and Postgraduate Coursework Coordinator at the School of Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences, UNSW Canberra. She holds a PhD in Mathematics (2007) from the University of New South Wales, a Master of Education Studies (1998), Diploma of Education (1990), and a BSc with First Class Honours in Mathematics (1989), all from the University of Queensland.

Her research spans interdisciplinary domains including:

• Statistical Ecology (climate impacts on penguin survival, banding effects)
• Mathematical Biology (Bayesian analysis of tuna populations)
• Education Assessment (student performance modeling, curriculum evaluation)
• Disease Outbreak Modeling (food/water-borne epidemics)

She has received multiple awards for teaching excellence and research quality. Dr. Sidhu previously served as Associate Lecturer (1997-2000) at UNSW Canberra and as a high school mathematics teacher (1991-1997) in Queensland.
