Leena Pundt

Prof. Dr. Leena Pundt serves as Professor of Human Resources Management and Head of IPM at City University of Applied Sciences Bremen's School of Business, based in Faculty 1 building (room A, 219) at Werderstraße 73, 28199 Bremen. She teaches core HRM courses including Personnel/Organization, Sustainable HRM, Diversity Management, Cross-Cultural Communication, and Rhetoric.

Her research addresses critical workforce challenges through strategic human resources management frameworks, focusing on demographic change, skilled labor shortages, internationalization, and digitalization. Key investigation areas include modern personnel systems, demographic management strategies, and inclusive talent development across organizational contexts. Current work emphasizes sustainable motivation models and refugee labor market integration.

She leads extensive industry-academia collaborations with major corporations including CTS EVENTIM (2025 talent retention), Swisscom (2024 digital knowledge management), Otto Group (2023 HR value assessment), ArcelorMittal (2021 3D challenges), Deutsche Bank (2020 diversity-driven loyalty), and Daimler AG (2019 cross-cultural knowledge transfer in China).

As Head of IPM, she directs the Institute of Personnel Management which develops applied HR solutions through projects like the ERDF-funded Leadership Toolbox, Silver Work Index for pre-retirement management, and Startup meets Migration initiative. Current research includes Leadership 4.0 digital transformation (2022-2023) and Leadership Toolbox 2.0 development modules (2023-2025).
