Lee Sangsoo

Dr. Sangsoo Lee is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Texas A&M University-Kingsville's Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. (2007) and M.S. (2001) in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Sogang University (Korea), respectively, along with a B.S. from Sogang University (1999).

His research focuses on thermal systems innovation, including heat pump design, two-phase heat transfer (condensation/evaporation), micro/nano-scale surface engineering for thermal applications, heat exchanger optimization, and thermal management for energy devices. Experimental and computational methods underpin his work across these domains.

Recent publications emphasize advanced thermal visualization techniques, condensation modeling, and microscale surface reconstruction, reflecting interdisciplinary approaches combining mechanical engineering with materials science and imaging technologies.
