Professor Leanne Hides is a clinical psychologist and Professor at the School of Psychology, University of Queensland. She serves as Deputy Director of the National Centre for Youth Substance Use Research (NCYSUR) and Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence on Meaningful Outcomes in Substance Use Treatment. Her research focuses on developing and implementing innovative treatments for substance use disorders, with a emphasis on digital interventions, youth wellbeing, and clinical practice integration. She has led over 40 randomized controlled trials and secured $46M in grants, including NHMRC and ARC fellowships.

Supervision: Active in guiding PhD students focusing on AOD treatment success, routine outcome measures, digital mental health accessibility, and chronic pain management. Current and past students include Dr. Molly Carlyle, Dr. Zoe Walter, and Dominique De Andrade.
