Leah Sherman

Dr. Leah Sherman is an Adjunct Professor in the Naturopathic Doctoral Program (NMD) at the University of Western States, where she teaches Medical Documentation IV. Her work focuses on integrating electronic medical records into clinical practice and naturopathic oncology. She co-hosts the podcast The Cancer Pod, exploring integrative approaches to cancer care.

• Education: BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (2002), ND from National College of Natural Medicine (2007)
• Residencies: 2-year naturopathic residency at National University of Natural Medicine clinics, followed by a 2-year naturopathic oncology residency at IU Goshen Center for Cancer Care

Her research interests include functional gastroenterology, integrative oncology, and the role of intergenerational trauma in healthcare. She has worked at Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the Goshen Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Sherman’s publications include contributions as an illustrator in naturopathic medicine textbooks.
