Leah Neubauer

Leah Neubauer, EdD, MA, CPH, is Clinical Professor of Health Behavior and Health Equity at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and serves as the inaugural Senior Director of Integrated Education & Accreditation. A nationally recognized educator, she leads initiatives in curriculum design, accreditation, and global health education.

Research Interests

Dr. Neubauer's scholarship centers on curricular design, program evaluation, educator development, accreditation strategies, and health-equity-focused education. She collaborates across the USA, Kenya, Nigeria, Mozambique, Zambia, and Canada to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative public health and global health training programs. Her work integrates adult-learning principles, culturally responsive evaluation, and trauma-informed pedagogy.

Across 15 recent works (2022-2025), her publications emphasize menstrual health policy implementation, evaluation capacity building, trauma-informed education during COVID-19, and equitable faculty experiences.
