Leah M Adams

Dr. Leah Adams is an Associate Professor at George Mason University in the Department of Psychology and the Women & Gender Studies program. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Washington Medical Center and Group Health Research Institute. Her research focuses on psychosocial adaptation to chronic illness, disability, and health equity for marginalized populations.

Her work spans chronic pain, HIV, brain injury, and spinal cord injury, with emphasis on:

• Intersection of mental and physical health
