Léa-Catherine Szacka is a Senior Lecturer in Architectural Studies at the University of Manchester and Director of the Manchester Architecture Research Group (MARG). Her work explores the intersections of architecture, media, and politics since the 1970s, with a focus on postmodernism, architectural exhibitions, and ephemeral structures.
- PhD in Architecture History and Theory from Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL, 2011)
- Teaching experience at Harvard GSD, ETH-Zürich, TU Delft, and Monash University
- Key research areas: postmodern architecture, media-architecture relationships, climate-sensitive design
Her publications include award-winning monographs on the 1980 Venice Biennale and postmodern television-architecture connections. She has curated major exhibitions and serves on editorial boards of Footprint and Architectural History.
