His research systematically examines the intersections of cinema and urban transformation, tracing how film reflects and shapes postindustrial urbanism, media-architecture complexes, and political cityscapes from the 1970s to contemporary digital narratives. His publications reveal consistent trends in urban crisis portrayal, cinematic globalization, and location-based cultural analysis.
Webb's work engages with interdisciplinary urban theory, auteur analysis, and media-industry history, often positioning himself as a co-editor of major cinematic city volumes. While no specific scientific awards are documented, his 15 most recent publications (2016-2025) demonstrate deep expertise in urban film studies, media-architecture, and historiographical analysis.
