Lawrence B. Pulley

Lawrence B. Pulley is Dean and the T.C. and Elizabeth Clarke Professor at the School of Business, William & Mary. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Virginia after graduating magna cum laude from William & Mary in 1974.

Pulley's research focuses on banking industry structure and regulation, international payments systems, and portfolio management. His academic work has emphasized statistical modeling applications in finance and empirical banking studies.

He served as Associate Dean of the School of Business from 1993-1996 before becoming Dean in 1998, following an assistant professorship at Brandeis University.
