Lawrence Angrave

Lawrence Angrave is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, affiliated with the Siebel Center for Computer Science. He holds roles as Gies RC Evans Innovation Fellow and CITL Fellow. His primary research focuses on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Accessibility in Education, with notable projects like ClassTranscribe and ScribeAR. These tools enhance educational accessibility through automated captioning, searchable video transcripts, and AR-based captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
