Laurie Letertre

Laurie Letertre is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (MCMP) within the Faculty of Philosophy, Science Theory, and Religious Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She holds a PhD in physics from the University of Mons (2016) and a PhD in philosophy from Université Grenoble Alpes (2022). Her work focuses on the metaphysical and epistemic dimensions of quantum physics, particularly causal nonseparability, spacetime in quantum gravity, and operational formalisms in theoretical physics.

Research Interests:

Her research bridges quantum mechanics interpretations, quantum gravity, and philosophical methodology. She investigates how indefinite causal orders challenge traditional spacetime concepts and explores the role of operational frameworks in shaping scientific knowledge. Current projects analyze metaphysical implications of quantum gravity theories, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections between physics and philosophy.

Publications:

Recent works include analyses of operational formalisms' neutrality in quantum theories (2021), quantum metaphysics and spacetime foundations (2022), and causal nonseparability's spatiotemporal impacts (2022). An invited chapter on quantum metaphysics (under review) further expands her theoretical contributions.

Grants and Roles:
