Laurent Seroude

Laurent Seroude is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Queen's University. His research focuses on characterizing molecular changes during aging using the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model system. He studies gene homology between flies and humans to understand aging mechanisms and develop interventions for healthy longevity. His lab employs techniques such as GAL4 enhancer-traps to analyze age-dependent gene activation, particularly in innate immunity and physiological aging indicators.
