Laurent Markey is a CNRS Research Engineer at the University of Burgundy, affiliated with the College of Science and Technology and the Nanosciences Department. He has contributed to nanophotonics, plasmonics, and nano-biosensor projects for nearly 20 years and is a co-author of over 75 publications.
His expertise spans micro and nano-fabrication techniques, including lithography, material etching, microfluidics, and surface chemistry, with a focus on integrated photonics for bio-sensor applications.
Dr. Markey earned his PhD in Materials Science from the Institute of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies (IEMN, Villeneuve d'Ascq) and completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Polymer Research Centre, University of Surrey (UK), working on polymer materials science. He also gained industrial experience as a process engineer in advanced lithography at STMicroelectronics for nearly 2 years.
