Lauren Stites is a Researcher at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University, serving as a senior research associate with the Georgia Health Policy Center. She is affiliated with both the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health and the Population and Global Health teams.
Her educational background includes a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A., all earned at Georgia State University. Her research focuses on Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Child Health, Community Health, Assessment Methodology, and Early Literacy, with expertise in early detection of behavioral health issues and early literacy-health intersections.
Stites leads evaluation efforts for the Georgia Apex Program, which expands children's mental healthcare access through school-based detection and treatment systems. She also contributes to national multisite community health initiatives, leveraging her methodological strengths in program assessment and behavioral health screening.
