Lauren Feldman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism & Media Studies at Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information. Her research focuses on media effects in political and science contexts, with emphasis on climate change communication, partisan media, misinformation, and the role of comedy in social justice. She is affiliated with the Rutgers Climate Institute and George Mason University's Center for Climate Change Communication.

- Co-PI on NSF grant investigating algorithm fairness in misinformation detection (2019-2021)

Notable contributions include co-authoring A Comedian and an Activist Walk into a Bar (UC Press, 2020).
