Laura Zanotti is Professor and Director of the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Cincinnati, with affiliate faculty status in Anthropology. With over two decades of interdisciplinary research experience, she partners with Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities to advance sustainable livelihoods and well-being.
Her research specializes in collaborative, transdisciplinary projects and mixed-methods ethnographic teams. Focus areas include sustainability, feminist political ecology, Indigenous rights, environmental justice, and climate change. Zanotti is dedicated to transformative academic practices that center community voices in environmental governance and knowledge production.
Publications demonstrate consistent commitment to participatory methodologies, examining themes of environmental governance, Indigenous sovereignty, community resilience, and decolonial research practices across diverse global contexts.
