Dr. Laura Wu is an Associate Professor and Director of the Movement Disorders Program at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She holds joint appointments as Associate Director of the Neurology Clerkship and contributes to clinical neurology education. Her clinical expertise spans movement disorders management, including deep brain stimulation programming and botulinum toxin therapies.
Education: Medical degree from China Medical University (Taiwan), PhD from Chang-Gung University (Taiwan), neurology residency at Stony Brook University Medical Center, and movement disorders fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.
Research Focus: Dr. Wu's research examines clinical manifestations and management strategies for Parkinsonian disorders, dystonia, Huntington's disease, and other movement abnormalities.
