Dr. Laura Stephenson is the Dean of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky and Vice President for Land-Grant Engagement. She previously served as Associate Dean and Director of the Cooperative Extension Service at the same institution and as Associate Dean for Family and Consumer Sciences Extension at the University of Tennessee.
- B.S. and M.A. in Vocational Education from Eastern Kentucky University
- Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Kentucky
Her career focuses on community-driven solutions through food systems development and nutritional education. She emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration between teaching, research, and extension to address public health and agricultural challenges.
She has received the George E. Mitchell Jr. Award for Outstanding Service to Graduate Students and the Master Teacher Award for her academic contributions.
