Laura Sansosti

Laura Sansosti, DPM, FACFAS, is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs at Temple University, affiliated with the Departments of Biomechanics and Surgery. She directs the Temple University Hospital Podiatric Surgical Residency Program's Externship and teaches courses including Principles of First Ray Surgery and Sports Medicine.

• Education: Completed residency at Temple University Hospital Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program (2017).

Her research focuses on foot and ankle surgery, diabetic driving studies, and wound care, with recent publications analyzing metatarsus adductus correction, trauma surgical outcomes, and bibliometric trends in podiatric publishing. She has led studies on immobilization device impacts, vascular testing, and obesity-related surgical risks.

Key scientific awards include multiple Goldfarb Research Contest wins and podium finishes at ACFAS and APMA conferences. She serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Compendium of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
