Laura Salo is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Physics at Tampere University, specializing in aerosol measurement techniques and environmental engineering. She holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) from Tampere University (2023), following a Master (2016) and Bachelor (2016) in Environmental Engineering from the same institution.
Her research focuses on particle emissions, lung deposited surface area (LDSA), black carbon instrumentation, and indoor/outdoor air quality. Key projects include studying ultrafine particles in traffic environments, sensor calibration for aerosol measurement, and global comparisons of particle pollution impacts.
Recent work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, with contributions to conferences on indoor air quality and environmental pollution. Her publications bridge environmental engineering and public health, addressing both technical measurement challenges and health-related outcomes of air pollution.
