Laura Saavedra Lago

Laura Saavedra Lago is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics for Aerospace Engineering, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. She earned her PhD in Mathematics from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 2012, receiving the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. Her research focuses on numerical simulations of fluid flows, particularly turbulent multiphase flows, combustion modeling, and compressible dynamics, with applications in aerospace engineering and energy systems.

• Member of the Spanish Section of the Combustion Institute since 2009
