Laura Reyher serves as Director of the Laura & Joe Street School of Nursing and holds the Laura & Joe Street Nursing Professorship at West Texas A&M University's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she has been a faculty member since 2016.
Her educational background includes:
- BSN in Nursing from West Texas State University (1978)
- MSN in Comprehensive Nursing from West Texas A&M University (2016)
Professor Reyher's research focuses on nursing education, community health, end-of-life care, health literacy, and gerontological nursing. She coauthored a significant article in Nurse Educator on interdisciplinary clinical simulation models for end-of-life care. Her expertise is widely recognized through frequent speaking engagements and panel participation on healthy aging, caregiver support, and community health initiatives.
She actively teaches Introduction to Nursing Skills, serves as a guest lecturer across all academic levels, and supports senior clinical rotations in community health. Additionally, she contributes to civic health through service on multiple boards addressing community wellness and aging populations.
