Laura Pulido is the Collins Chair and Professor of Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic Studies and Geography at the University of Oregon. Previously, she taught at the University of Southern California for over 20 years and holds the title of Centennial Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research focuses on race, environmental justice, cultural memory, and American Studies.
Her expertise includes Latinx Studies, white supremacy, and the intersection of climate denial with racial dynamics. Key projects include the Just Futures Institute (funded by the Mellon Foundation) and the Monumental Denial atlas, examining U.S. cultural memory and white innocence. She co-edits the A People’s Guide to Los Angeles series, blending academic and public scholarship.
