Laura Maria Gomez Ruiz

Laura Maria Gomez Ruiz serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at Pablo de Olavide University's Faculty of Business Sciences. She teaches Management Accounting II: Planning and Control for both the Finance and Accounting degree and the Law/Finance double degree programs.

Her research centers on:

• Management control systems' role in preventing dysfunctional behaviors
• Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation in organizations
• Strategic planning and control mechanisms in accounting

Currently leading Ministry of Science and Innovation-funded research on management control systems for SDG achievement, her work bridges financial accounting practices with sustainable organizational development.
