Laura Macía Guerrero

Laura Macía Guerrero is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of Deusto's Faculty of Health Sciences. She holds positive accreditation as Profesora Agregada at UNIBASQ and is actively engaged in research on gambling disorder and behavioral addictions with a strong gender perspective.

Her research focuses on the psychological mechanisms underlying addiction, including emotional dependence, alexithymia, emotion regulation, and attachment theory. She investigates how these factors differ by gender and impact addiction development and treatment.
