Laura M. Hatfield serves as Associate Professor and Chair of Sport Management within the School of Education at Liberty University, a position she has held since joining the faculty in 2016. Her academic appointment bridges theoretical instruction and practical industry experience, leveraging her background as a former Liberty University volleyball player and coach from the 1990s.
Her research program centers on work-family conflict, organizational communication, and scholarship of teaching, directly informing her instruction in organizational behavior, leadership, public relations, social issues in sport, and marketing.
