Laura Lacey is a Senior Lecturer in Military Aviation Safety and Airworthiness at Cranfield University's Centre for Defence Engineering and Physical Science. She teaches courses on Military Aerospace and Airworthiness, Through-life System Sustainment, and Military Vehicle Technology MSc programmes, and supervises PhD and MSc students.
Her research focuses on aerospace manufacturing, defence systems engineering, availability definitions, No Fault Found phenomena, and airworthiness certification frameworks for military platforms.
Recent publications analyze autonomous weapons safety frameworks and aero-structural interactions in defence systems. She holds a Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy recognizing teaching excellence.
