Laura Jane Williams is a part-time doctoral researcher at the School of Information, Journalism and Communication, University of Sheffield, and the subject librarian for art, design, and architecture at the University of Huddersfield. With a background in Theatre and Performance Studies (University of Warwick) and Librarianship (University of Sheffield), she has extensive experience in media librarianship at ITV and BBC, as well as academic library services.

Her work bridges academic librarianship and information behavior research, emphasizing the role of online communities and digital platforms. Supervised by Andrew Cox and Lee Pretlove, her projects often intersect with user engagement, social media, and sports informatics. She has contributed to journals such as The Journal of Academic Librarianship and Art Libraries Journal, alongside international conference proceedings.
