Laura A. Geer is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University's School of Public Health. She received her PhD in Environmental Health Engineering (2005), MHS in Environmental Health (2000), and BA in Ecology (1996) from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Hampshire College, respectively.

- Research focuses on environmental/occupational exposure assessment, health inequities, and climate resilience in urban immigrant communities
- Teaches courses including Climate Change and Health, Planetary Health, and Advanced Topics in Risk Assessment
