Lars Henrik Jensen

Lars Henrik Jensen is an Associate Professor and Consultant MD at the Department of Regional Health Research, University of Southern Denmark. He serves as Head of Research at IRS - Lillebælt Hospital, Research Unit of Oncology in Vejle, Denmark.

His research focuses on oncology with particular expertise in:

• Colorectal cancer and its treatments
• Metastatic cancer progression and survival analysis
• Chemotherapy efficacy and patient outcomes
• Cancer biomarker development
• Digital health interventions for cancer patients

Dr. Jensen leads multiple research projects including The Outreach Study on barriers in cancer care for patients with mental comorbidity (2022-2024) and Cross-PALL, a cross-disciplinary model for palliative care planning for patients with incurable cancer.

His work has been recognized with research grants including a Bevilling grant in 2017.

Dr. Jensen actively supervises PhD students and contributes to medical education. He has supervised Stie, M. on a project about dialogues with cancer patients on complementary alternative medication (2018-2023) and serves as Principal Supervisor for Swenne, I.E.J.'s PhD project on Cross-PALL.
