Lars Hedrich

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Lars Hedrich is a faculty member at the Institute of Computer Science, Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main. He holds the Chair of Design Methodology and has been actively involved in teaching and research related to analog and mixed-signal systems.

His research focuses on advanced methodologies for electronic design automation, including formal verification of analog AI hardware (FAI), energy-optimized analog circuits for deep neural networks (ENERGICS), formal abstraction of analog circuits (faveAC), and analog coverage in nanoelectronics (ANCONA). He has also led projects like MixedCoreSoC for highly reliable self-adaptive mixed-signal systems and MiDes for microsystem design flow in SMEs.

Key teaching areas include heterogeneous system design, analog circuit information processing, and practical training in analog chip design. He utilizes tools like VHDL-AMS and simulation frameworks such as Gnucap-uf for educational and research purposes.
